President's welcome

First of all, I would like to extend a warm and hearty welcome to all in Probus and a hand of friendship to those who would like to join us. Although a Bristolian by birth my wife and I have lived in Nailsea since 1990 and regard it as my home town. My daughter was born and educated here and has set up her own home in the west end.

As elected President for 2026/2027 my aims & objectives will continue to focus upon fostering new friendships and maintaining an active social calendar. I am pleased to have a hard working and very proactive committee working in the background to make Nailsea Probus Club the success it is by arranging interesting talks from visiting speakers, well organised social events, summer and Christmas luncheons all provided in a welcoming, sociable, and enjoyable environment.

Sadly, over the past year we have lost members who we can say were friends and who we will dearly miss. Yet with a smile we welcome new members and hopefully more as the year goes by. We have a busy year ahead of us and focus expanding our membership throughout 2026 and 2027.

I wish to thank our members for their participation and continued success in together promoting the ethos of Probus to the people of Nailsea.
